Part 4: Trading Psychology – Conscious vs. Subconscious

4 Types Of Brain Waves

I would like to divide this section into 2 topics, 1x talent vs diligence and then explain the 4 types of brain waves.

Talent vs Diligence

David Perkins asked of how to use your brainwaves to deliver outstanding performance and divided brainwave speed into two forms.
PASSIVE and ACTIVE.

Under PASSIVE When you understand your genetics, D.Perkins found that there are two types of people, the quick thinker and the slow thinker, in other words, people with fast and slow brain waves from birth.
Brain wave velocity means how fast one nerve cell communicates with the other.

Slow waves and high waves example

people with slow brain cells are the type of people who need to be explained several times before they understand, or people who get very nervous when they do something for the first time (no matter how simple) such as calling someone to order food.

fast brain cells have a very quick mind and are very quick-witted by nature. This type of person always finds a suitable answer, and they can also express themselves excellently (each of us knows such a person here too). -> SKILLS

But the good thing is, you can ACTIVE Influencing the conversion of slow brain cells into fast ones. But how? With your life experience, since experience is about pure continuity -> going back to the food example, let’s say you call a restaurant every day and order food, at some point you’re so good at it that you eat in your sleep could order. Right now, you wouldn’t even be thought of as a person with “slow brain cells.”

It’s only a matter of time before diligence, the talent obsolete.

Why is that so?

The person who has a talent usually knows that he is different from everyone else, but that is exactly the problem, because he knows what he can do, he usually does not continue his education and stagnates his entire life. On the other hand, the person who takes care of himself, who is aware of his weaknesses and strengths, and who develops himself, will sooner or later beat the person with the talent.
DILIGENCE > TALENT

The second stage (but the first in the subconscious) is called
alpha frequency.

Alpha has a lower frequency (7-14 Hz). In the alpha state, the brain waves go down a little and you are more relaxed, for example when manifesting, visualizing, or even if you have to do something creative, for example, then the alpha waves can help you with that. Since you become more creative, you are not focused on one thing but on several -> e.g. also during brainstorming.

The third stage (but the second in the subconscious) is called theta frequency.

Theta has an even lower frequency (4-7 Hz). I would say that the theta frequency is the most well-known because it is the frequency that is used when meditating or hypnotizing.

The 4 stages (but the third in the subconscious) is called delta frequency.

Delta has the lowest frequency (0-4 Hz). We have the delta frequency in our sleep.
Everyone lives through these frequencies every day, when we get up we go from delta-beta and when we go to sleep we go to beta-delta.

When we get up in the morning we are still very sleepy (delta state), for example, if we drink coffee or another caffeinated beverage in the morning we will get to the beta state faster. You can consciously do external things to get to the desired frequency faster. If I want to work in a focused way, I listen to beta waves, if I want to meditate, I know which state I need ⇉ TETHA.

If I can’t sleep, then I know what frequency my body needs to get sleepy. Therefore, I can consciously adapt the frequencies to my needs to bring my body into a frequency with my activity.

External stuff:
Breathing exercises, brain wave sounds, nature such as on rivers (ensures relaxation in the body), or simply brainwave music (meaning the right frequencies are built into the music.

Children between 0-4 are in the delta state because, as mentioned above, the delta state is the sleep state. The body grows and regenerates during sleep. That is also the reason why when we humans are sick, we are very weak and tired, and the body needs sleep. Focusing only on beta is not good for the body! Otherwise, you will “overheat” the body and cause exactly the opposite.
So you should take regular breaks!

  • in the age from 4-7 we are mostly in the theta state, we soak up everything new like a sponge no matter if it’s good or bad, it just gets stored.
  • in the age from 7-14 you are in the alpha state, you are very creative and already try one or the other thing on your own, and you are very curious.
  • in the age From 14-20+ we are then in the beta state in which we think logically and question things more often as well as thinking ahead.
